First I set the view to left then set the Shoe Side picture as a rotoscope.

Along the left side I created a spline. After I did this, later I noticed
I started to far to the left. These splines are moved to the right later and the back heel
decal rotoscope will be used for the back curve of the shoe.

I extrude towards the right the length of the rotoscope.

Then adjust the top and bottom row of splines to the shape of the shoe.

Don't go the top of the shoe where the laces are, this section of splines are for the side only.

Using the distort tool, I curved the the splines.

I gave the shoe some shape.

I grouped these splines and named them Right Half

I then used the shoe side as a decal to see how my shape matched the decal.
You may have to delete the stamp, then adjust the splines then decal again until
until it looks better.

Then click on the top spline and hit your comma key to highlight the whole spline and CPs.
I then copied and pasted this row of splines. This starts the top of the shoe.

From the Top view use the Shoe top picture as a rotoscope. You can adjust the shape of the
Right Half group to the shape of the rotoscope.

Group the spline you just pasted and then Hide CP 'H' to hide the Right Half splines.
Delete the CPs that are higher then the tongue.

Extrude to the right. I deleted the circled splines, I didn't need as many as I made.

I curved the ends down.

Unhide the CP of the Right Half group. Adjust the CPs so the top half lines up with the
Right Half CPs.

Now group this section as Right Top Half.

Now click on the spline on the left edge of your Right Top Half group,
then use the comma key to highlight the whole spline and CPs. The spline should be grouped
from the tongue to the toe.

With the spline grouped, hit delete to remove the spline. Be sure you did save these CPs as
Right Top Half.
Now connect the loose CPs to their corresponding CPs on the Right Side half group, leave the end
CPs of the tongue loose.

Use add mode to close the loose CP to give you a tongue.

This is the toe area with the rest of the shoe hidden.
Group the end row of CPs from the Right Side half.

Extrude these for the front of the shoe. Then group just this front section and name it
Right Toe Half.

Click your Right Top half then Hide the rest of the model. From Top view decal the splines,
with the tonge and laces of the Shoe top picture.

Unhide the splines as see how it looks. I curved the tongue splines up.

Turn the model around and group the end CPs and copy and paste these. This is for the heel.

From back view use the shoe back picture as the rotoscope.

Now extrude the spline and curve it for the back of the shoe. Use the same number of
splines as you added in the toe extrude.
With the model in front view, I lined the right edge CPs with the center postion Y
for the later copy/flip/paste of the model

Group these splines and name it heel. I also made the toe group gray.

Group the right spline of the heel from top to bottom, and delete leaving the CPS.

Connect the CPs to the CPs of the Right Side half. Adjust the shape. The edge of the decal
on the Right Side half will disappear along here and where you conected the Top group. Click on
your Right Side half group and hide the rest of the model. Delete the stamp to the right side and reapply
the decal.

It should look like this after you also decal the heel group. Group the top spline from the tongue to the end of the heel. Copy it.

Now paste group and hide the rest of the model. Extrude this group in a circle giving you a pipe looking
group of CPs. Group and name these Right Ankle pad. Unhide the model and align the pad on the
model to give the shoe a look of thickness.

Click your Right Top group and hide the rest of the model. I extruded the
the tongue splines to give the tongue thickness.

Group the bottom edge of the Right Side half and copy and paste.

Extrude shoe the amount of splines you have going down in the Heel and Toe groups.

Adjust the splines if you need to, to match the shape of the shoe. Group these as Right Sole half.

I decaled the sole. Group the edge of the spline near the Right Side half and delete leaving
the CPs. Connect the CPs to the matching CPs
of the Right Side Half. Also connect the sole to the Heel and Toe groups by adding splines.
You should have a complete half shoe. Where you connected the CPs
you'll loose the decal at these areas so you'll have to reapply the decal to the groups again.

From the front view line the right edge of the shoe on the Y axis. Make sure all the CPs of the end are on the line.
Zoom in and move any CP that are off on to the line. Now select the whole model and right click the model. Click the
copy/flip/paste selection. Check model and connect any CPs that didn't connect.

Here's what yours should look like.

Rename the new groups from the words RIGHT to the words LEFT.

Using the Left Groups and hiding the rest of the model apply the decals to these groups.

From the top view, the shoe is rounded.

view the splines.

Move the splines along the right side of the shoe to make a shoe for the right foot.

I made this image and applied it as a decal over the laces and changed it to a bump map.Save the model.

Import your Tennis shoe model into your figures model. Group the whole shoe and name it Right tennis shoe.
Place the shoe on your models right foot and attach the CPs to the models bone. You may need to move CPs and resize
the Tennis shoe model so the figures foot isn't sticking through the shoe.
Import your tennis shoe again and group this shoe as Left tennis shoe. In front view, right click
the group and flip along x axis, then place on left foot of model like you did the right.
